Hello, and welcome to my photography portfolio!
Allow me to tell you a little about myself and the way I came to love photography. I was born and raised in the Land of Enchantment, New Mexico. In the small town of Santa Fe, I grew up with an artist for a father and have always been encompassed by the art world. As a kid I remember my dad would always be taking photos for his artwork. Sometimes he would let me set up my own still life scenes and photograph them. Because of my dad's career I spent a lot of time as a kid in fine art galleries, admiring many high quality painters. I have always been creative and in the back of my mind have known I was meant to do something creative with my life.
After moving to Colorado I believed I had found my path as an educator, however I discovered it was not what was going to make me happy in life. Throughout my pursuit of a masters degree I was a hobbyist cosplayer. Although this was a great outlet for my creative side I was still left feeling lost. As a cosplayer I wanted good photos of my work and so I picked up my first DSLR camera. Having some Photoshop knowledge from my first degree I really became interested in photography and editing. Over the last few years I continue to be drawn to photography. There are so many different avenues to explore and I constantly work to improve and educate myself.
